Eagle Racing TT02 FRD: Finishing up the Chassis

I had a little bit of a delay finishing the chassis up, because I needed a longer sensor cable for my Speed Passion 10.5 motor.  While I was waiting, I went ahead and made a simple mount for they gyro.  It is made from a small piece of extruded aluminum.  I like mounting the gyro this way, because I can mount it more securely to the chassis using the bracket.  I also use two pieces of double sided tape on the back side to minimize the vibration that the gyro sees.  I have had good results using this method.

Next was adding some body mounts.  Up front, I added some generic 6mm body posts to the bumper using the holes already provided.  They are perfect spacing for the Eagle Racing stealth mounts.

The rear proved to be a little more challenging, as the stock body mount holes (square ones) were not at a good distance apart to work with the stealth mounts.  Also, the square holes are big enough that the base of the mount will pass right through them.  Ultimately, using the outward most shock mounting holes, and the right combination of spacers (included in the mount kit), a good solution was achieved.

I tried to make the wiring neat and tidy.  Once I get the chassis setup and am happy with the layout, I may go back and try to clean it up even more.

My well used D-Like GT86 body fits perfect.  Ready for battle!

    1. It has to be either in the ESC programming or a setting in your radio. As long as you followed the speed passion instructions, I'm not sure what other advice I can give.

    2. Yeah I think it's the wiring something must be loose or the wrong rx for the tx I have another I'm gonna try. It's fly sky so it's cheap but I bought a different rx thinking it would work.

    3. Also I think the esc you got must come with longer wires or speed passion changed it and started giving less because my wires were no where near long enough. I bought 12 gauge and I think it's too big. I'm gonna to take the supplied wires to my lhs and talk to them but my local electronics store said it was 12. Oh well I'll get it figured out. Once that is all done I can dial it in and have fun.

    1. I don't have any pics of it, but I basically cut out the rear diffuser portion of the rear bumper to make it fit.
